Udaipur : The Department of Psychiatry, Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Udaipur, organized a vibrant celebration of Mental Health Week from 9th to 10th October in alignment with the World Health Organization (WHO) theme – “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony graced by Dr. Suresh Goyal (Dean), Dr. Praveen Khairkar (Head, Department of Psychiatry), Dr. Dilip Kumar, Dr. Harish Mathur, and Dr. S.N. Jhadav.
A series of engaging activities such as rangoli, poster-making, speech, and poetry competitions were organized to promote awareness about mental health, especially the importance of accessible mental health care during crises and emergencies. Faculty members and students participated with great enthusiasm, displaying creativity and commitment.
Dr. Divya Chadha anchored the event, while Dr. Sajan, Dr. Aditi, Dr. Neil, Dr. Archish, Dr. Priyanka, and Dr. Manish contributed actively to the successful execution of the program.
The celebration proved to be informative, awareness-oriented, and filled with zeal, emphasizing the crucial role of timely mental health services in ensuring resilience and well-being during difficult times.
