AU Bano Champion’s second State-Level tournament wraps up with spirited victories

Udaipur : AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), India’s largest SFB, successfully concluded the 2nd edition of its Bano Champion state level tournament, with a grand closing ceremony. The three-day state-level tournament, held at SMS Stadium in Jaipur from January 31 to February 2, 2024, witnessed the participation of over 1500 children. The event marked the culmination of a rigorous four-month selection process that began with village-level games, followed by district-level rounds, leading to the highly anticipated state-level competition. This state tournament exposed athletes to a world class stage and prepared them for even higher competition levels.  

In the Volleyball Male under 17 category, Jhunjunu Army emerged as the winners, with Tonk Warriors securing the runners-up position. For the under 13 Throwball Female category, Jaipur Royals clinched the top spot, while Jhunjunu Army secured the runners-up position. In the Throwball under 17 Female category, Shahpura Panthers claimed victory, with Jaipur Royals as the runners-up.

Football saw fierce competition in two categories. Suncity Storm from Jodhpur emerged victorious in the Under 13 category, while Aravali Veer secured the runners-up position. In the Under 17 Football category, Jhunjunu Army claimed the top spot, with MarwarYodhas from Jalore securing the runners-up position.

The Kabaddi competition for Under 17 Male was dominated by Shahpura Panthers, with Suncity Storm from Jodhpur securing the runners-up position. In the Kabaddi Under 17 Female category, Jaipur Royals emerged as the winners, with Suncity Storm from Jodhpur as the runners-up.

The Bano Champion initiative not only showcased the sporting talents of kids and youth but also emphasized AU SFB’s commitment to community development through sports. The bank extends its congratulations to all the participants, winners, and runners-up for their exemplary spirit and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament.
