Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc’s Zawar Group of Mines organized a foray of events in observance of “SwachhtaPakhwara” under the aegis of Indian Bureau of Mines and partook in Government of India’s “Ek Tarikh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath” initiative, with the motive of promoting hygiene and sustainability within the community. The four-day event was dedicated to fostering cleanliness and sustainability within the community and surroundings. This initiative was in line with the Government’s vision for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and encouraged every citizen to take part in it on this Gandhi Jayanti.
The lineup of activities included a diverse range of programs, fulfilling the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and promoting a sustainable environment. The activities scheduled for each day included drawing competition, slogan competition, Swachhta walkathons, prize distribution ceremony and cleanliness drive. Abhay Agarwal, Controller of Mines (North), Indian Bureau of Mines, Ram Murari INU CEO, (Zawar Group of Mines), Shri Prakash Meena, Panchayat Sarpanch, and Lalu Raam (General Secretary, Zawar Mines, Majdoor Sangh) joined forces with 200 students and more than 100 volunteers at Government Senior Secondary School, Zawar during the “Ek-Tarikh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath” cleanliness drive and took the onus of keeping the surroundings clean.

With the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission to ensure a healthy and clean environment for living and working, Hindustan Zinc’s Zawar Group of Mines has taken the lead in implementing cleanliness drives at the grassroot level.
