HDFC Bank Parivartan announces setting-up of smart classrooms in 400 Govt schools across Rajasthan

Initiative to benefit 40,000 students and 2,000 teachers

Udaipur : HDFC Bank Parivartan, announces the setting up smart classrooms in 400 government schools across 26 districts in Rajasthan. Through this initiative, the schools will gain access to enhancedvisual learning& teaching resources such as 55-inch smart TVs, 4 TB hard disk CPUs, speakers, UPS with power back of 4-6 hoursetcenabling students to access digital learning. The intervention will help improve students’ learning outcomes and empower teachers to facilitate the class more efficiently.

The project was inaugurated at the Government Senior Secondary School, Sukhpuriya, Sanganer, Jaipur, Rajasthan. This event was attended by dignitaries from the government, including;MrNaveen Jain –Education Secretary, School Education, Language and Library Departments and Panchayati Raj (Elementary Education) Department, Govt of Rajasthan; Ms. Nisha – Deputy Commissioner, Jaipur Development Authority; Mr. Rajendra Kr. Hans – District Education Officer, Jaipur, Mr Om Prakash, Chief Block Education Officer, Saganer City, Jaipur. HDFC Bank officials present were Mr. Vinit Dhariwal, GIB Head, Central India; Mr. Narendra Rawat- VP, GIB, Central India; Mr. Navneet Agarwal – DVP, GIB, Central India.

Speaking on the initiative, Ms. Nusrat Pathan, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility, HDFC Bank said, “Education has always been one of ourkey focus areas under the Parivartan CSR pillars. We are dedicated to enhancing it through initiatives like the ‘Smart School Program’ where every student will have access to facilities that will be helpful in their overall development. The goal of the ‘Smart School Program’ is to create a conducive learning environment equipped with modern day advanced teaching capabilities.”

HDFC Bank is among the top CSR spenders in the country for the financial year ended March 2023. The Bank spent Rs 820.89 crore on CSR initiatives, as on March 31, 2023, impacting over 99.31 million people through its social interventions.

HDFC Bank aims to upgrade 3,500 traditional schools into smart schools by FY25. The Bank’s ongoing educational initiatives have impacted more than 2.13+ crore Indian students.
