Honda India Foundation Deploys 26 Emergency Response Vehicles for Udaipur Police

Udaipur : Honda India Foundation (HIF) today flagged off 26 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) for Udaipur Police to support enhanced mobility across key areas of the district.

The deployment includes 25 Honda Shine 100 motorcyclesand 1 Honda Elevate car, specially modified for police use. The vehicles are intended to operate across tourist-heavy zones, urban areas, and other locations where agile access is important.

This initiative also builds on Honda India Foundation’s earlier support to Udaipur Police in February 2026, when 25 vehicleswere provided for the Tourist Patrolling Team to support crowd management and public safety. Together, these efforts reflect HIF’s continued commitment to enabling prsactical initiatives that strengthen community support systems.

The flag-off ceremony was held in the presence of Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria; Shri Gaurav Agrawal, IAS, District Collector, Udaipur; Shri Gaurav Srivastava, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range; Dr. Amrita Duhan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Udaipur; and Mr. Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, said, “Udaipur is an important centre of public and tourist activity, and this effort will further strengthen our Police Patrolling Team to support public safety across the district. I appreciate Honda India Foundation for this meaningful contribution. Their continued engagement in such collaborative efforts contributes to strengthening public service delivery at the local level.”

The motorcycles deployed under this initiative have been modified for police use and equipped with features such as emergency signalling systems, public address systems, flashlights, storage units, and safety gear. These additions are designed to support accessibility across varied terrains and assist police personnel in their daily operations.
