Udaipur : Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector bank, is committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities alongside its professional commitments. Taking these social obligations seriously, the bank organized a special ‘Plastic Hatao’ (Remove Plastic) campaign in Udaipur today, ahead of World Environment Day (June 5). This year’s World Environment Day theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” was effectively highlighted through the bank’s initiative.
In the morning, Bank of Baroda staff members gathered at the intersection in front of the Sub City Centre residential extension gate to collect plastic waste. This collected waste was then properly sent for disposal in a municipal corporation vehicle. On this occasion, bank employees also conducted an awareness rally, educating people about the severe impacts of plastic pollution and appealing for their cooperation in environmental protection.
During this significant endeavour, Shri Alok Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager and Deputy Regional Head of Bank of Baroda, Regional Office, Udaipur, along with other staff members, were present. This campaign demonstrates Bank of Baroda’s strong commitment to the environment and represents a crucial step towards contributing to a clean and green future.
