Body Painting Competition Organized by Anatomy Department at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences

Udaipur : The Department of Anatomy at PIMS Umarda organized an engaging Body Painting Competition on Saturday, May 23, 2026, with the objective of developing students’ interest and practical understanding of Human Anatomy. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. Ganesh Khemnar, with special contributions from all faculty members and staff of the Anatomy Department. In this competition, students of Ist year MBBS creatively presented various anatomical structures, organs, and systems of the human body through body painting. The artistic expression and scientific understanding of the participants impressed the guests and audience present.

The Chief Guest of the event was Chairman Shri Ashish Agarwal. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Prashant Nahar, Principal & Controller Dr. Suresh Chandra Goyal, Registrar Dr. Devendra Jain, Medical Director Shri Kamlesh Shekhawat, and Deputy Registrar Dr. Kanupriya Tiwari were especially present. All the guests appreciated the efforts of the students and described such events as promoting innovation and creativity in medical education. On this occasion, Chairman Shri Ashish Agarwal, while continuously encouraging the students, said that the objective of the institute is not only academic excellence but also to promote students’ creativity, talent, and overall personality development. He motivated the students to engage with innovation and practical education. In their addresses, the chief guests stated that in medical education, not only theoretical knowledge but also practical and visual understanding is important. Activities like body painting help students understand and learn the subject in a better way. At the end of the program, the participants were encouraged for their outstanding performance, and the Department of Anatomy expressed gratitude to all visitors and collaborators. This event proved to be a unique confluence of knowledge, art, and science for the students.
