Invites proposals and applications for Students Awards
Udaipur : Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) is all set to organize the Maharana Mewar Foundation 40th Annual Awards Distribution Ceremony (MMFAA) for students section on Sunday, 3rd March 2024. Standing true to its vision to perpetuate its core values such as service to society and mankind, serving as a temple of inspiration to future generations to continue the model of sustainability of ‘Eternal Mewar’, MMCF has been organizing this award ceremony since 1980-81. The scope and spectrum of the awards has been steadily widening since then.
Maharana Mewar Foundation Annual Student Awards Distribution Ceremony Convener Dr. Mayank Gupta said that the applications will be accepted till 30th November 2023 for Bhamashah Award, Maharana Raj Singh Award and Maharana Fateh Singh Award for the year 2022 – 2023. The Awards will be distributed by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, The City Palace, Udaipur.
Dr. Gupta further added that students can get the award details and prescribed application format can be downloaded from http://www.eternalmewar.in/uploads/awards/mmfaa_student_form.pdf or can be obtained free of cost from the Office of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation located at Badi Pol and Sitla Mata Entrance, The City Palace, Udaipur from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Convener Dr. Gupta described that Bhamashah Award was instituted to honour students achieving top position by securing the highest percentage in the following faculties from amongst all the Universities of Rajasthan in recognition of selfless sacrifice, astute financial management and devotion to duty by Bhamashah to the House of Mewar. Those students who are studying in Rajasthan based university or those native students of Rajasthan who have completed the said bachelor’s degree or diploma from any other University outside Rajasthan can apply for Bhamashah Award. He will always be remembered for recognition of selfless sacrifice, astute financial management and devotion to duty to the House of Mewar.
Similarly, those students of Universities and Colleges located in Udaipur, who achieved the best position in Sports and Academic- co-scholastic activities, can apply for Maharana Raj Singh Award. Maharana Raj Singh Award is awarded in commemoration of the impact of the phenomenal role played by Maharana Raj Singh I during his life time. This award was instituted to honour deserving students of Universities based within the municipal limits of Udaipur and also students from those Colleges who are affiliated to these Universities, but are located outside Udaipur, for distinguished achievements in (i) Games and Sports (ii) Cultural, literary, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted by a recognised body.
Students of Udaipur based schools who have passed their 10th and 12th with high marks as well as those students who have passed in these examinations but did best in sports and academics co-curricular can also apply for Maharana Fateh Singh Award. Maharana Fateh Singh Award was instituted in recognition and in commemoration of the principles and values adhered to by him. This Award is to honour those regular students who have passed Secondary and Senior Secondary exams of Central Board of Secondary Education and Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan from Secondary and Senior Secondary schools located within municipal limits of Udaipur conducted by a recognised body.
The applications and nominations received are reviewed by a distinguished panel of scholars and after which a final list of awardees is prepared. Each award carries a cash award, a certificate and a medal.
