Udaipur. Renowned folklorist Dr. Mahendra Bhanawat received the Lokbhushan award from Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar on Saturday. This honor was given to Dr. Bhanawat by the Uttar Pradesh Hindi Institute, Lucknow, for his special long-term Hindi service to Indian folklore related to folklore and folk tradition. Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh conferred the honor of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan to Dr. Bhanawat, under which an amount of two lakh fifty thousand rupees, a copper plate, and a shawl were presented. On this occasion, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh said I am happy that Dr. Bhanawat has been continuously illuminating the name of Mewar throughout India in the field of Indian literature for many years, which gives live inspiration to future generations. The Maharana Mewar Foundation had first given the Maharana Sajjan Singh Award in 1984. Then there was no award by this name, but the founder of the Foundation, Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar, announced this award to honor Dr. Bhanawat, and the first award was given to him. I am a big believer in Dr. Bhanawat’s progressive rise.
Notably, Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan gave Lok Bhushan Samman to Dr. Bhanawat, which includes two lakh fifty thousand rupees, a copper sheet, and a shawl, this honor was given to Dr. Bhanawat by the hands of Mewar in Udaipur.
