Hindustan Zinc’s double sweep at the People First HR Excellence Award 2022

Udaipur :  Hindustan Zinc, India’s only and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc-lead-silver producer, has won the ‘People First HR Excellence Award 2022′. The company has won two “Champion” awards under the category –Leading Practices in Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives and Leading Practices in Talent Management.  The award was presented to Hindustan Zinc for its overall journey in changing and implementing HR Processes by leveraging workforce diversity and talent management. The platforms also recognized HR Leaders in various domains – Roohi Sherwani, Mamta Sharma and Satyjyot Kaur as HR Future Leaders while Anoop Kumar and Deepak Gakhreja were recognized as Leading Minds in HR and People First Leader Award respectively.

As part of the ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ Lens, the company’s roadmap includes declaring theEqual Employment Opportunity policy and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy. Hindustan Zinc has revamped its recruitment strategyanchoring diversity in all functionsand ensuring the sameis reflected in business partner workforce. The company recently inducted the first Transgender employee, deployed in a front-end role as a Lab Technician at its unit and is committed towards gender parity across all levels and functions.
